Bring whatever pot-luck item you’d like.\nMax and Diane Doerge will bring their delicious gumbo. They really know what they’re doing !\nWe didn’t organize sign-ups for types of food…. But these things always work out. Contribute as you like.   \nA head-count will really help our planning. Let me know if you plan to attend? If you didn’t think you could come\, and your plans change and on Saturday you’re available?  COME ANYWAY.    \nTraining: 10 am – 12pm. Wayne Dixon will again present Entomology. Several students missed this on March 2. This is your make-up session.\nIf people want to review some knots we taught\, or if you missed them\, we can work on those.\nLunch probably about noon – ish. \nCasting: If weather holds… This will be our first meeting at this Fire Department\, so we don’t have experience with casting here. We will assess that as we go. We will have spare rods if you don’t have one yet.\nIf you have a rod\, bring it. SUMMARY:Monthly Outing - Change to Burfoot Park!
DESCRIPTION:Based on some early scouting reports on the Toutle River\, we have decided to go after SeaRun Cutthroat in the Sound out of Burfoot Park. High tide on Saturday should be close to 8 AM and Low tide close to 2:40 PM. Check back for further details\, but the leaders will get there between 8:30 and 9 AM. Hot soup will be available to share. We will probably meet up afterwards at the Boston Harbor Marina cafe to share a hot beverage and tales of the day.\nThis outing will require grit and determination most of us haven’t accessed in decades. But with enough layers\, hot breakfast\nand steady egos we will enjoy ourselves. The camaraderie and nature is what we’re all really here for.

DESCRIPTION:Our outing this month will be attended by our local Project healing Waters chapter. We will have shelter from the rain\, breakfast burritos\, and hot coffee for everyone. If you have a water craft of any non-motorized sort bring it along. Everything from inner tubes to drift boats will work just fine.  \nParking at Munn is pretty limited. If carpooling is an option I recommend it. If there is no parking left\, consider working up a shuttle between Pioneer Park and Munn Lake. There is lots of parking at Pioneer Park and it is only 1 mile away. And don’t forget your Discover Pass and or DFW Pass

We’ll start with basic skills and materials and build weekly as you progress through more advanced techniques and fly patterns. By the end of the class you will have learned eight different fly patterns. Additionally\, you will be able to match each fly you tie to the particular food source it represents. You also will have an assortment of flies in your fly box to take out on the water with you\, including dry\, wet\, and streamer flies! Four additional Thursday “Lab” sessions provide students extra assistance with the lessons and practice tying the flies outside of lesson nights. All tying materials are included for tying in class and at home (threads\, feathers\, etc.). Students bring their “homework” flies to the following class for evaluation.
