Our club outing for May will be at Summit Lake in Thurston County. Summit Lake is popular fishing lake that features a variety of fish; Kokanee, Rainbow trout, Cutthroat trout, largemouth and smallmouth bass. The lake has a nice boat ramp and does have available fishing from the shoreline on both sides of the boat ramp. Summit Lake is located west of Olympia on WA state highway 8. Look for the Summit Lake Road NW exit to the right. Turn right on Summit Lake Shore Road NW to the boat launch. We will gather at the boat launch at 9:00 on May 21.
Club member Jim McAllister is veteran fisher of Summit Lake and he will speak about the outing and be available to answer questions at the club meeting on May 17.
