We will be having a social club meeting on March 28th at South Bay Fire Station 8-1, which is not our usual meeting place. See the map below.
We will have food, entomology training, casting practice, and fly tying.

It’s a potluck and fun day. Inside. We’ll set up the room at 9:00 AM. Bring whatever pot-luck item you’d like.
Max and Diane Doerge will bring their delicious gumbo. They really know what they’re doing !
We didn’t organize sign-ups for types of food…. But these things always work out. Contribute as you like.

A head-count will really help our planning. Let me know if you plan to attend? If you didn’t think you could come, and your plans change and on Saturday you’re available? COME ANYWAY.

Training: 10 am – 12pm. Wayne Dixon will again present Entomology. Several students missed this on March 2. This is your make-up session.
If people want to review some knots we taught, or if you missed them, we can work on those.
Lunch probably about noon – ish.

Casting: If weather holds… This will be our first meeting at this Fire Department, so we don’t have experience with casting here. We will assess that as we go. We will have spare rods if you don’t have one yet.
If you have a rod, bring it. But don’t buy anything until you talk to us.

Fly Tying – if you ever wondered about tying, now’s your chance. We have spare equipment, tools, and materials to help you tie your first fly. You may surprise yourself !
